Board-Certified General Surgeon with a special interest in the treatment of breast disease
Dr. Walid Abou-Jaoude received a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Medical Degree from Creighton University. He attended the University of Pittsburgh for Basic Science Research in Immunology, then completed his surgical residency at the University of Louisville School. Dr. AJ joined the Lexington Surgeons group in 2001 and has developed a special interest in the treatment of breast diseases.
Dr AJ is a Board-Certified General Surgeon, holds several positions at Baptist Hospital including Chief of Surgery, Chairman of the Surgery Peer Review Committee, Chairman of the Baptist Hospital Breast Cancer Program Committee, and is on the Blood Utilization Committee. He also serves on the Board of the Baptist Physicians Surgery Center, the Board of the Kentucky Blood Center and the Board of Surgery on Sunday.
