Board-Certified General Surgeon and Complex General Surgical Oncology
Dr. Schaub is originally from Baltimore, MD. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland College Park with an undergraduate degree in physiology and neurobiology. He attended medical school at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. He completed general surgery residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA where he was received the Distinguished Chief Resident Award. His oncology training included a 3-year research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD where he studied the tumor microenvironment in pancreatic cancer. He then completed a clinical surgical oncology fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC.
Dr. Schaub joined Lexington Surgeons in August 2015. He has been a board certified general surgeon since 2010 and received his board certification in complex general surgical oncology in 2016. His clinical interests include benign and malignant tumors of the gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach liver, pancreas, small bowel, and colon), endocrine organs (adrenal, thyroid, parathyroid) and soft tissues (breast, melanoma, sarcoma).
Dr. Schaub resides in Lexington, KY with his wife and 3 children.
