George V. Page M.D. is a native Kentuckian having been born and reared in Russellville. Dr. Page attended the University of Kentucky as an undergraduate, as well as the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, where he graduated with distinction in 1982. He then served a 5 year residency in General Surgery at the University of South Carolina/Richland Memorial Hospital. Upon completion of his residency training, he returned to Lexington in 1987 and joined Lexington Surgeons to begin his practice in General Surgery. Dr. Page has served in numerous capacities during his career at Baptist Hospital, including Chief of Staff, hospital board member, and Chief of Surgery. Dr. Page is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, member of KMA, Lexington Medical Society and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. His current areas of interest are diseases of the breast, GI disorders, hernia surgery and thyroid/parathyroid disease. Dr. Page also performs upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.
